I am not using the firebird port because its behind and i wanted to try the new firebird-7. I have compiled firebird before on linux, openbsd and freebsd 4.x without issues using the same config. This is the first time i have seen this so i assume its the new gcc compiler. again thanks for the help. have a great night.
