Since you wanted feedback, here is some: - gnome-upgrade.sh really took some time (about 15 hours on my PIII@1GHz , 500 MB RAM) - In general gnome2.5 works and no damage has been done to my non-gnome apps, but - some things weren't installed (see my last message) - many icons are missing in the gnome menu, but the apps themselves can be started. - nautilus works faster, but opens in seperate windows (like the old windows explorer on NT) - the log-out menu doesn't work - it just freezes the system. One has to restart the X server. So I think this quite good for an experimental desktop upgrade.
