I have always added "device pcm" to my kernel=20 config file. You can also just kldload the sound module. I haven't done=20 that and can't really tell you how to do that but it should be=20 searchable from an archive of the messages. The devices that your system recognizes can be seen by typing "dmesg".=20 This can be a long list and you may want to add " | more".
