AFAIK, the threading issue is still present. mike@mike2k.com can confirm this. However, I don't think anyone has narrowed it down to just being a threading issue or something within MySQL, or perhaps some problem between the two. I don't have the Opteron box yet, so I cannot check -CURRENT to see if the problem is still there.
