The GPL license in it comes from that in grab.c (from which the code is partly derived), otherwise I would have used BSDL :) I'm more than happy to see it softened to LGPL. Strictly speaking I suppose formal permission would have to come from the author of grab.c too, but since that code is now in LGPL that shouldn't be a problem.
