Gnome explicitly wants the xscreensaver-gnome port, and there's a conflict against xcsreensaver. Solution is to install gnome first (on a system without any xscreensaver port) and then KDE. KDE will automatically use xcreensaver-gnome if it is installed, rather than the plain one.
