Maybe I get time this week to test (and > commit) it on x86/"make universe"). yes.. the alpha support was added - but its "blind" support - as I didnt test it at all. I just know I use this patch on my i386 machine without ANY problems for a couple of months and people reported me that amd64 works as well... if someone is willing to test alpha and/or amd64 I think its almost commitable (phk@ did a quick review of the patch) roman
