Hi Olivier,

take a look at:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/sound-setup.html

To use multiple channels set:

sysctl hw.snd.pcm0.vchans=3D4
sysctl hw.snd.maxautovchans=3D4

If that works for you, you can add it to /etc/sysctl.conf
