Thanks for the follow-up!

The hard drive in my X40 bit the dust some time ago and I haven't gotten
around to replacing it yet.  (But I will.)  It seems probable that the
problem has been resolved, but I can't be sure.

I'd suggest closing the PR, and I'll make sure to test this as soon as
get my X40 back online.  If I can still reproduce the problem, I'll open
a new PR under 6.2.
