Hi :) I suspect for device "/dev/dsp0" I have to change the 0 by 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, regarding to the wanted output pair. format "48000:24:2" is ok for ADAT 48KHz (resp. if wanted 44.1KHz), 24-bit, stereo and the WAV in the folder /home/musicpd/music has to be a 48KHz, 24-bit, stereo WAV. The current WAV is 32-bit float. *?* And how do I use the player? Specifications of the ADA 8000 connected to the HDSPe AIO are 8 channels, 24-bit @ 44.1/48KHz root@freebsd:/home/musicpd # /usr/local/etc/rc.d/musicpd status musicpd is running as pid 39626. root@freebsd:/home/musicpd # ls -l total 34 -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 1016 Jan 20 15:36 .cshrc -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 254 Jan 20 15:36 .login -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 165 Jan 20 15:36 .login_conf -rw------- 1 musicpd musicpd 381 Jan 20 15:36 .mail_aliases -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 338 Jan 20 15:36 .mailrc -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 750 Jan 20 15:36 .profile -rw------- 1 musicpd musicpd 283 Jan 20 15:36 .rhosts -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 980 Jan 20 15:36 .shrc -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 344 Jan 20 15:59 database drwxr-xr-x 2 musicpd musicpd 512 Jan 20 16:03 error -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 166 Jan 20 16:00 log drwxr-xr-x 2 musicpd musicpd 512 Jan 20 16:05 music -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 6 Jan 20 16:07 pid drwxr-xr-x 2 musicpd musicpd 512 Jan 20 15:37 playlists srw-rw-rw- 1 root musicpd 0 Jan 20 16:07 socket -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 182 Jan 20 16:07 state -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 3072 Jan 20 15:59 sticker.sql root@freebsd:/home/musicpd # ls -l music total 1200 -rw-r--r-- 1 musicpd musicpd 1210892 Jun 2 2007 piano2.wav root@freebsd:/home/musicpd # cat /usr/local/etc/musicpd.conf [snip] music_directory "/home/musicpd/music" [snip] playlist_directory "/home/musicpd/playlists" [snip] db_file "/home/musicpd/database" [snip] log_file "/home/musicpd/log" [snip] pid_file "/home/musicpd/pid" [snip] state_file "/home/musicpd/state" [snip] sticker_file "/home/musicpd/sticker.sql" [snip] user "musicpd" [snip] #group "nogroup" [snip] #bind_to_address "freebsd" [snip] bind_to_address "/home/musicpd/socket" [snip] #port "6600" [snip] #log_level "default" [snip] #gapless_mp3_playback "yes" [snip] #restore_paused "no" [snip] #save_absolute_paths_in_playlists "no" [snip] #metadata_to_use "artist,album,title,track,name,genre,date,composer,performer,disc" [snip] #auto_update "yes" [snip] #auto_update_depth "3" [snip] #follow_outside_symlinks "yes" [snip] #follow_inside_symlinks "yes" [snip] #zeroconf_enabled "yes" [snip] #zeroconf_name "Music Player" [snip] #password "password@read,add,control,admin" [snip] #default_permissions "read,add,control,admin" [snip] input { plugin "curl" # proxy "proxy.isp.com:8080" # proxy_user "user" # proxy_password "password" } [snip] # [snip] # OSS output: # audio_output { type "oss" name "My OSS Device" device "/dev/dsp0" format "48000:24:2" ## mixer_type "hardware" ## mixer_device "/dev/mixer" ## mixer_control "PCM" } [snip] Regards, Ralf
