the source fies contain the following line:
if (filename==0 || filename[0]==0 || strcmp(filename,"syslog")==0 ||
strcmp(filename,"0")==0)
the third condition means that setting smsd_logfile=syslog in rc.conf
will let you use syslog. (did not test it, but the code cannot
lie...Usually :) )
