I only mounted /dev/ada1p6.journal > once just to check it worked - nothing changed when I unmounted it. Well, the gjournal metadata is still present on that partition. If the gjournal kernel module is loaded, it will automount. (I think, I have not used gjournal.) So maybe 'gjournal stop ada1p6.journal'.
