According to the direction In its current state it does require a windows machine to build the corefx. However the Corefx project shows it is currently still having problems building on anything but windows. Hopefully that can be resolved. I have been diving into the code but my c++ is a bit rusty. I am a .NET dev by day and a FreeBSD at home. Wishing to combine the two worlds more.
