Was this with or without (presuming a ufs file system): tunefs: trim: (-t) enabled ? If enabled, with or without: sysctl vfs.ffs.dotrimcons=1 In other words: was "consolidation of TRIM / BIO_DELETE commands to the UFS/FFS filesystem" enabled?
