The FreeBSD Project has a long history of granting commit rights to Coda=20 developers in order to allow Coda developers to maintain the in-kernel Coda= =20 module -- Bob Baron, myself, and later Shafeeq Sinnamohideen. I believe=20 Shafeeq may still be affiliated with, or at least in the general physical= =20 vicinity of, the Coda Project. I sent him e-mail in early June asking what= =20 the status of the Coda work was, and what, if anything, to do about the ker= nel=20 module--I didn't hear back. I see Jan has just submitted a number of kerne= l=20 patches and will see about getting them into the tree before the 7.0 beta= =20 series starts. There has been discussion of removing the Coda module from = the=20 kernel tree on the basis that it has been, until the last day or so,=20 effectively unmaintained for several years. However, if it's now maintaine= d,=20 then obviously that is neither necessary nor desirable. Robert N M Watson Computer Laboratory University of Cambridge --0-1470605626-1184111910=:8913--
