I don't know of any way to get this to work outside of the
Windows environment and I don't know whether Hewlett-Packard
publishes the information required to get it working.

I did see something about some Linux drivers for winmodems and 
winprinters, but I can't recall where I saw it.

Do you still have your sales receipt?
