According to an off-list chat I had with him, the machine would panic unless the ISRs were bound. I disable ISR parallelism for my mpd routers using: net.isr.direct=1 net.isr.direct_force=1 At the other hand, there are other queues where traffic got delayed, not ISR only. Dummynet itself is an example. The router still panices with INVARIANTS too often. Eugene Grosbein
