Bora Akyol stands accused of saying: > Now I have two IDE drives (one on each controller) and a SCSI > drive and FreeBSD is on my SCSI drive. By the way I type hd(2,a)/kernel > at the install floppy boot prompt. I'd guess that you're going to have a very hard time with this combination, depending on what your BIOS does with the second IDE disk. Traditional PC-AT BIOSes will only boot from the first two disks. You may be able to get somewhere using the fbsdboot program and a kernel on a DOS partition. > Bora -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and (GSM mobile) 0411-222-496 [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] "Who does BSD?"
