Use the LPRPS program to communicate with the printer. It uses the
pagecount trick before and after each job to see how many pages got
printed. You can get LPRPS from
ftp://ftp.jclark.com/pub/lprps/lprps-2.5.tar.Z
Read the instructions that come with LPRPS for usage.
