I have seen little evidence of ru, shealdonh or alfred being anthing other then helpful. > > Alfred: Don't panic so easily, the world wont go under because of a bikeshed. If I can speak for Alfred, I believe his point is that I should just write the stupid docs and let the format wizards deal with it when the time comes... I don't disagree with him, and my only issue with complying with his wishes is that I am also just a little anal when it comes to format issues (so I just can't help myself). > > O'Brien: For somebody insisting that "Style matters!" your email communication > style leaves a lot to be desired: Relax. > > Everybody: While it may be true that Chad hasn't done a perfect > job, it is totally insane to beat him on the head with this fact > when most of us have not even tried to do our little part of the > same job. One doesn't look a gift horse in the mouth, remember ? I think this is a good example. Neither you or O'Brien even bothered to answer my "example" questions, or volunteered to answer others, so what are you two fighting about? I have read a LOT of your code and I own you a lot of bear so I know you have the ability to offer a great deal to this whole process. Any particular systems you want to review for, of should I just add you to the general cc list? (please note the intended humor, and complete lack of real finger pointing!!! :-) ). > > When people submit stuff which is good material, but some minor stylistic > points are wrong, the correct response is not "burn him at the stake", the > correct response is "great job buddy, uhm, next time, could you try to ..." > I think this is what has happened, and as the guy who is doing the actual work I will humbly submit that what I think is all that matters :).
