Try setting the CD as the slave of the same controller as the one you
have the hard disk on. Sometimes this works better. Also make sure that
the jumpers on the CD are set appropriately (i.e. master in its current
configuration and slave if you move it) and have a CD in the drive when
you boot the install floppy.
