So, go to more secure option : let's use a normal Operating System
(FreeBSD or even <don't flame me ...> Linux) running programs as a
non-privileged user : let's kill Lose95

Nice Idea on the surface, but I can see a potential problem.
1: It encourages the end user to be lax. I don't need to scan for
viruses... My ISP does it for me. _IM PROTECTED_.
2: So when your whizbang virus scanning program misses one, then you end
up taking blame for not catching the thing in the first place.
3: Misunderstanding of the software. User downloads a file from net,
and gets virus... _ HEY! YOU SAID YOU SCANNED FOR VIRUSES, I GOT ONE,
AND IT'S YOUR FAULT! ( Some users just don't see a difference between
FTP, e-mail, or anything else.... to them, its just "internet". )
Yeah, I know that all this really should fall to the end user, but in
todays world, everyone blames everyone else.
Methinks it would be better to teach people to be responsible for their
own security. Simply make recommendations as to basic security
precautions that end users might want to consider.
The Winblows system will have the same failing, because the problem is
mostly in human nature, not a lack of technology.
Anyway, just my random opine...
