The proper solution is probably in TROUBLE.TXT > or the readme file, but I cannot recall where. That, or c:\freebsd as c:\3.0-RELEASE is going to be a invalid drive name under DOS. It's a long file name sure, but DOS still truncates it out to 8 and 3 when 95 is not loaded.
