I don't personally -like- banners, but I think that it would be a sort of
'premium' the project could use to entice 'major' vendors to give us support.
For example, Oracle, IBM with their DB2 for Linux, Gateway, etc. to give us
support we want from them. I don't propose offering a banner to every
software house who offers to support FreeBSD, and I would sugest placing a
firm limit on the number/placement of any banners, but I do think this is a
powerful resource that could be used to sway those who are close to the edge
:)

I think that is a good idea as well. Not what I meant by banner, but still a
very good idea. Would there be any interest in a similar section for freeware
authors who support FreeBSD and apply the branding to their efforts?
