If so, you need to add that path to the default search path for ldconfig. You should have a line in /etc/rc.conf that looks something like: ldconfig_paths="/usr/lib/compat /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/local/lib" I suspect you're missing the "/usr/X11R6/lib" part. :-) Later, Sheldon.
