Well, I think the correct answer is to sift through the existing port and determine why the native compile of xfstt works so poorly. I have already contacted the author about this in the past, and I have been familiarizing my self with the code. To be honest, I think it has to do with the size of the font files under freebsd. If I use several older font files under 50K bytes, it is not a problem. However, xfstt begins to die if I introduce the newer "internet ready" files that are several hundred thousand bytes in size. *==============================================* *Gene Harris http://www.tetronsoftware.com* *FreeBSD Novice * *==============================================* On Thu, 27 Jan 2000, James A.
