The entry in fstab was the problem. '1' and 'l' on this monitor look very similar. 'mount /dev/ad2sle /usr/obj' was also failing, due to the incorrect character in fstab. :-( All fixed now, file system mounts properly. :-) But back to my question: is there a limit on the number of slices you can have?
