I'm not sure you can get any of the current FreeBSD releases to run on
such low memory and hard drive space, but there is a ``version'' of
FreeBSD called PicoBSD.

It can fit onto a single floppy disk and comes in slightly different
flavors (dial-up PPP, Ethernet, router, etc.). I'm not sure if it will
run on 4MB of RAM though.
