There is simply no single line of ed1 while booting beside the kernel.conf-commands. I tried to give ed0 a wrong interrupt and I got a errormessage "timeout on ed0", but I dont get anything from ed1. When performing any ifconfig with ed1 I get the message "interface ed1 does not exist". When performing the operation on the wrong-configured ed0 I get a timeout-warning again. again the steps I involved: * added ed1 to my kernel-configfile * compiled and installed kernel * added ed1 to kernel.conf * added ed1 to rc.conf * reboot thanx a lot, peter -- mag. peter pilsl phone: +43 676 3574035 fax : +43 676 3546512 email: pilsl@goldfisch.at sms : pilsl@max.mail.at pgp-key available To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
