No.  There's nothing magic about multiple filemarks noting so-called
EOT. Clearly the drive allows you to write multiple filemarks at EOT, but then
hasn't the slightest intention of actually allowing you to then append, so I
fail to see how this would be an issue.

I should note that I doubt that this drive is 'supported' under either HP-UX
or Solaris.
