I had the same problem with an AMI Megaraid in a HP last week, totally different
cards, but maybe the solution may be similar.

A google search found a patch, seems the problem is that the card tells the
driver how many commands can be queued, and it is too high.  The patch set a
maximum on it.  Seems to have worked fine.
