Indeed - I saw this just the other day on a purely Serial ATA/IDE system. Just after detecting the IDE disks, the system paused for about 60 seconds, with the floppy drive light coming on. After ~60sec it then continued without a problem. Slightly alarming, but apparently harmless... -Antony
