No, that is true as I twice had to give Apple credit card number just to
start using apple store on iPhone. It was about 7 years ago, and two my
cases are separated by at least 4 Months. In my book a statement "was
never done" is overturned by a single example showing it had been done. It
was done to me twice, I stand by my original statement.


You do not, and never have, need to have a credit card to

I never meant iCloud, I never used iCloud. My apologies if my insufficient
command of English language prevented me from expressing unanbiguously
that I am talking about apple store.
