| Any idea why GNATS didn't pick "kern/32668" out of my subject line and

|
| Does the PR ref have to appear at the beginning of the subject line?

From the gnats-info document:
Any further mail concerning this Problem Report should be
carbon-copied to the GNATS mailing address as well, with the
category and identification number in the `Subject:' line
of the message.
Subject: Re: PR CATEGORY/GNATS-ID: ORIGINAL MESSAGE SUBJECT
Messages which arrive with `Subject:' lines of this form are
automatically appended to the Problem Report in the `>Audit-Trail:'
field in the order received.
but IMHO, it should match the CATEGORY/ID anywhere in the subject. This
would make it easier to send followups and ensure they were filed under
the correct PR. It would also fix cases where somebody sends a new PR
saying 'The problem in bin/12345 is still occurring...', which should just
be added to the audit-trail of the old PR, instead of becoming a new PR.
It would also be cool if GNATS could skip messages with a 'In-reply-to'
header...but I'll stop wishing. ;)
Cheers,
Mike
