At this moment I am configuring FreeBSD 4.2 on an ASUS A7V motherboard
with a 850 Mhz Athlon. I just compiled the Midnight Commander port and I
am getting addicted to the speed ;)

Whatever board you choose, make sure you have a good power supply. You can
check the AMD website for AMD approved ones.
