I would just like to point out that no one has considered the possibility of, perhaps, painting the bikeshed with a pattern using multiple colors, or perhaps even varying grades of reflective paint. This would make it significantly more pleasing to the eye... and with shiny paint, we can also attract significantly more users. --- Harrison
