a) There is no such thing as SATA 1 or 2; there is only SATA, although
   marketroids sometimes incorrectly refer to drives that support 3 Gbps
   transfer speed as SATA II drives.

b) SATA has supported NCQ from the very beginning.  In fact, command
   queueing already existed in PATA at the time SATA was finalized.
