Because it might hold a valuable clue as to why the system is freezing :). Also, make sure that you have POSIX semaphores (the sem module, or `options P1003_1B_SEMAPHORES' in your kernel config) enabled on the system. Some functionality in Firefox depends on functioning POSIX semaphores. Cheers, -Garrett
