On 2001-04-23, Pablo Quintana scribbled: # Apr 22 06:41:49 internet named[84]: ns_resp: TCP truncated: # "102.208.124.204.in-addr.arpa" IN PTR from [200.41.53.80].53 # # Apr 22 08:03:38 internet /kernel: pid 84 (named), uid 0: exited on signal # 10 (core dumped) Run `named -v' and see if the version of BIND is less than 8.2.3-REL. Anything before 8.2.3-REL is buggy and has a lot of security holes. You can download the source at ftp.isc.org/bind I would recommend upgrading to 8.2.3-REL (I would really recommend on going to 9.1.1, but 8.2.3-REL should be fine for now) and see if the problem continues to happen. -- Linh Pham [lplist@closedsrc.org] // 404b - Brain not found To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
