It's pretty easy - your Xsetup_0 file should look something like: #!/bin/sh # $XConsortium: Xsetup_0,v 1.3 93/09/28 14:30:31 gildea Exp $ xv -root -quit -rmode 5 /usr/home/brett/background_pics/fbsd_demon2.jpg xconsole -geometry 480x130-0-0 -daemon -notify -verbose -fn fixed -exitOnFail Note the last command (starting w/ xconsole) is all on one line. Note I've moved the xconsole (with the -geometry switch) off to the right so it doesn't block Chuck or anything. Note this geometry is for 1280x1024 - your mileage may vary.
