> I'm trying to build OpenOffice.org 2.1 on freebsd 7-Current (without java) Sorry, this won't work. Compilation with gcj has been broken for a long time, but unfortunately nobody with the skills required has the time to fix and maintain it. I filed a bug report about this in early January: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=107645 Since then, I have given up and am building with JDK 1.5 now, which, at least on -STABLE, works like a charm. - Bartosz
