David, If HP is not really going to support FreeBSD, then maybe Dell is a better way to go as Dell's purchase of Kace will keep them supporting FreeBSD for quite some time. Though because Kace is appliance based, Dell only has to make it work on a few Dell servers. It actually surprises me when people choose GPL-based Operating Systems for appliances over the BSD Licensed software. It seems like such a licensing issue to sell an appliance with a GPL product when an OS that is just as good or better is free of those licensing issues.
