FreeBSD is unix and FreeBSD complies with the Single Unix
Specification[1] and other standards like POSIX, so basically yes. If
theres any difference between the standards spec and the FreeBSD
implementation, it's generally because the FreeBSD implementation is a
superset of what's required.
