Here's how to do it http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/custom-gcc/configuring-ports-gcc.html Since you do not override CFLAGS, I can't help you, because using default settings made my problems go away. The only difference is that I don't use cups, but I doubt that would make a difference for Firefox, and that I have perl 5.12.2. Rolf
