I'm testing the hardware now. I'm wondering, though, if it has something to do with the type of CPU. This is a 100 MHz 486, which as far as I know was never made in a laptop version by Intel. So perhaps it's a Cyrix part. If it is, would it require anything special? Also, it could be that FreeBSD is failing to detect a memory hole.
