Yes there is :D I just tried it on FreeBSD 9-CURRENT amd64. These steps should work: 1) Create a VirtualBox VM with a Windows XP guest. 2) Enable 3D acceleration in the VirtualBox settings under "Display -> Video" (I also allocated 32MB to the video card) 3) Install the VirtualBox guest additions. 4) Disable mouse integration 5) Install java 6 & enjoy minecraft ! Performance seems satisfactory. Hardware: Phenom II X4 3Ghz and a nVidia 460GTX. BTW I thought of yet another way to play minecraft; you can also try wine. On amd64 wine works when installed in a chroot/jail. I know of at least one person who plays World of Warcraft on FreeBSD/amd64 using wine. -- Pieter de Goeje
