"Dual channel" refers to the motherboard/processor/memory controller and not to the memory modules themselves. When manufactures sell "dual channel" memory, what they mean is that the modules are compatible with dual channel memory systems. There is nothing special about the modules other than that they are the same (size, timing, row/column layout, banks, etc). -DG David G.
