Just wanted to add a "me three"; with CURRENT from ~ 2008-12-03, I
would semi-determinstically have the machine freeze at some point
during a binary package build on my desktop, and sometimes otherwise.

After disabling zil, I have not suffered any crashes. By now
sufficient time/builds have passed that it seems fairly likely that
the change helped.
