No. Adrian knows better, but he doesn't like the idea of loading
firmware from the boot loader so he pretends it doesn't work, hoping
that it will eventually go away. It actually works just fine. For
instance, if you have an AC 3160 adapter, you need to add the following
to /boot/loader.conf:
if_iwm_load="yes"
iwm3160fw_load="yes"
The first line loads the driver, the second line loads the firmware.
There is a complete list of supported models in the iwm(4) manual page,
you just need to pick the correct iwm*fw_load line for the one you have
(or include them all, but you'll be wasting memory and time loading
firmware images you don't need).
