Using ftp.freebsd.org, you can only use ftp, but there is no
need to mirror from ftp.freebsd.org, you should mirror from the
closest official mirror, and given you is in Canada, I would
think it would be one of the US mirrors, that is
ftp[2-13].freebsd.org
